About This Study

We are conducting research on the debt settlement enrollment experience. We are looking for people who are already planning to enroll in a debt settlement program and want to document their journey.

This is NOT:
  • A debt settlement company
  • Financial advice
  • A program that asks you to do something you were not already planning

We simply pay you to document an experience you are already going to have.

Who Qualifies

  • Have $10,000 or more in unsecured debt (credit cards, medical bills, personal loans)
  • Already planning to enroll in a debt settlement program
  • Willing to stay enrolled for at least 60 days
  • Able to document calls, emails, and your overall experience
  • Organized and responsive to communication

What You Will Do

1. Enroll with a Debt Settlement Company
Choose from one of the major debt settlement providers. We will discuss options during the screening process.

2. Document Your Experience

  • Save all emails and communications
  • Take notes after phone calls (we provide a simple template)
  • Screenshot important documents
  • Share your honest impressions through brief check-ins

3. Stay in Touch
We will have periodic check-ins (brief calls or texts) to hear how things are going.

4. Get Paid
After 60 days enrolled and documentation delivered, you receive your payment via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or check.

Compensation

Compensation: Discussed during screening based on your situation and study requirements.

Requirements:

  • 60 days enrolled in your chosen debt settlement program
  • Documentation package delivered (emails, notes, screenshots)
  • Completed check-in calls
